Christmas Message from ECHHO Founders!
Christmas is a time of hilarious and abundant giving! God started it all and we’ve joined
the celebration with gusto, Christians and non-Christians alike, especially in the western
world. Some of us dig very deep this time of year, not just into our wallets, but into our
hearts. Some hear a beautifully clear message coming our way…a bell ringing that calls
us. And even as we gift others we love, we are reminded of God’s special Christmastime
gift to us. Then out of that awe and breathtaking comes a response of soul …as C.S.
Lewis declared in My Highest for His Utmost, “To serve God is the deliberate love-gift
of a nature that has heard the call of God.” And in our Jefferson County neighborhoods
the ECHHO volunteers have gone out now for over 10 years giving love and mercies to
folks who have no place to turn. May both the volunteers and those they serve be
blessed. Thank you the ECHHO volunteers for your dedication. A very merry, a
thoroughly hilarious and holy Christmas to you!

Note to Volunteer Drivers
ECHHO’s treasurer has asked that we provide him with volunteer mileage for the month
by December 27th this month so that he can complete his end of year financial
reports. Please call the ECHHO office at 379-3246 with your hours and miles as soon as possible so
that we can accommodate his request. Thanks for your help.
New ECHHO Staff Member, Sarah Ford
ECHHO received a wonderful gift through the Title V Senior Employment Program
administered by Olympic Area Agency on Aging. Sarah Ford joined our office staff on
December 10, working 20 hours per week. She has extensive office experience, lives
within walking distance of our office at 1110 Jefferson Street, and is a very welcome
addition to the ECHHO family.
Fundraising Committee
ECHHO Board Member, Jack Randall is forming a working fundraising
committee. Participants with fundraising ideas and the ability to work with the team to
implement those ideas are needed. Contact Jack at 437-2539 to volunteer or for more
