Thanksgiving Day is Everyday for ECHHOThis years Thanksgiving Celebration was especially appropriate for ECHHO. Everyone involved with ECHHO, whether as employee, volunteer, care receiver, or equipment borrower, has a lot to be thankful for. As employees, we can be thankful that we have the opportunity to participate in such an important and appreciated organization. I can think of few other occupations where the clients are so thankful for our work. As for volunteers, by their very nature, they are thankful for the opportunity to serve others in need. Volunteers are, indeed, special people who set a wonderful example for all of us. And, of course, our care receivers and equipment users are extremely thankful for ECHHO’s efforts to ease their burden when they are in difficult situations with no one else to help them. I can’t imagine any other organization where the words “thank you” are spoken so frequently every day! |
