Ecumenical Christian Helping Hands Organization ECHHO


To work in partnership with volunteers and community organizations of Jefferson County to provide transportation, chores, social support and medical equipment so that people may continue to live independently and with dignity, regardless of faith, age, ability or income. Our vision is to foster a strong, independent, healthy and loving community.


Volunteers provide services free-of-charge to individuals who are referred to ECHHO. Services include:
~ Travel to medical appointments ~
~ Home and domestic assistance ~
~ Shopping and errands ~
~ Friendly visits ~
~ Loans of medical equipment ~


Jefferson County has the largest percentage of senior citizens in Washington State, and the 10th most in the United States, with over 5,000 households (42%) with people over 65. ECHHO has  helped people from age 1 to 106!
